Statement
The Albany Community Foundation
was formed in 2001 to create a way to expand charitable giving in Albany. Our goal is to encourage and develop local
philanthropy and to serve as a resource through which charitable funds may be directed to meet the needs of local organizations
and emerging community needs.

the extent permissible under law, IRS tax ID #33-1173216. ACF operates under the umbrella of the East Bay Community

Native Plants will be Planted in this Area
On Saturday, September 11, the Albany Community Foundation will once again join forces with City Arborist,
Tony Wolcott to weed, remove inappropriate plants, and plant native plants at the Albany Community Center. There is
lots to be done and EVERYONE is invited to participate. Activities will begin at 9:00 a.m. with pizza provided by the
Albany Community Foundation at noon for all workers. Projects to be completed include planting native plants in the
large and small planter boxes, removal of some of the hedges around the building and planting natives and edibles around the
building.
